The most important partners of the Department are:

• Students of the Geography (both BSc and MSc -level)
• Post graduate students of the Geography (Ph.D. students)
• Personnel of the Department of Geography
• Other departments of the University of Oulu and the administrative units of the University of Oulu

In the organizational level the staff of the Department of Geography will coop’ with following organizations:

• City of Oulu
• Business Oulu
• Council of the Oulu Region
• Several state level organisations in Oulu and in Northern Finland

The Department will also organize annually Alumni meeting with the students and professional geographers graduated from the Department. Alumni meetings are organized in coop with the student organization of the geography students, “Atlas Society”.
