World's northernmost Department Of Geography
The annual intake of students for the degree programme is limited to 35 and the total number studying geography as their main subject at one time is approximately 250 undergraduates and 35 postgraduates.
There are also 30-40 students studying geography as a subsidiary subject each year. Teaching is mostly based on lectures, book examinations, seminars, tutorials and field courses.
