Social Geographical research

Research themes

The core question is to map the ways in which space, place and landscape appear as experiential phenomena, that is, as lived environmental relations. Methodologically the research points to various philosophies of meaning (phenomenology, existentialism) but also to some frameworks of analytical philosophy (especially philosophy of mind and philosophy of language). These methodological stances connect to the topobiographical question of how one’s lived environmental relations (spatiotemporal contexts) affect one’s personal identity.
