Grants for internships in Finland
University of Oulu offers grants for its degree students to finance their internships in different organizations, mainly in Finland.
In 2017, the grant for internships in Finland is 1600 euros per student (excl. internships in the University of Oulu). The length of the internship does not affect the amount of the grant. There’s a limited amount of grants available and it is possible that grants will run out already during the spring semester.
Internship grants in 2017
- Duration of the internship must be at least 2 months (full-time).
- Grants can only be applied for internships in SMEs, public sector or third sector organizations.
- The internship must be paid (=employer pays salary). Grants cannot be applied for unpaid internships.
The application period will be ongoing until all grants have been used: students that meet the requirements (e.g. credits completed towards degree, average grade in major studies) can apply for the grants as soon as they find a suitable internship position.
Applications will not be processed during staff holidays (for example during July). Grant must be applied for and the grant application must be approved before the internship begins - applications cannot be accepted afterwards.
Please, read carefully: APPLICATION CRITERIA AND INSTRUCTIONS 2017
IMPORTANT: When applying for the grant, student must have an internship position offer from the prospective employer. Check the application instructions for complete criteria.
