Alumni - Staying close to your alma mater

Welcome to join the alumni society of the University of Oulu! University of Oulu over 41 000 alumni are spread all over the world. Join the alumni community at the alumni network. By joining you receive the Aktuumi magazine as well as a newsletter and event invites.

The University offers to alumni:

• Alumni Badge: all graduates receive the silver University of Oulu alumni badge upon graduation.
• The alumni network is the alumni campus of the University, a online networking and communication channnel for alumni to keep in touch with other alumni and the University.
• In the mentoring programme an alum gives guidance and supports a student near graduation.
• The University Day (Yliopistopäivä) in May. The University of Oulu Assiciation (Oulun yliopistoseura) and the University arrange an annual celebration in May. During the celebration the Alumni of the Year is announced.
• Newsletter for alumni network members each month.
• The University magazine Aktuumi is posted to alumni network members, also those located abroad.
• Events. The University, departments, students guilds, the University of Oulu association and the alumni can all be active in organising events. If you are interested in active involvement in alumni activities, please contact your home department or the alumni coordinator at alumni(at)oulu.fi
