Terhi Suopajärvi

Dr (Tech.) Terhi suopajärvi works as the Project Manager in the Nanostructured lignocelluloses team of the Fibre and Particle Research Unit. Research focus on combining of cellulose and some other bio-based material in different applications, chemical modification of cellulose using deep eutectic solvents (DES) and she harnesses secondary sources like recycled board, paper, and agricultural waste as raw materials in nanocellulose production. Additionally, she explores the utilization of nanocellulose in water-based chemical applications such as flocculation and adsorption.
