Professor Mikko Puhakka awarded for his merits in economics

Professor Mikko Puhakka from Oulu Business School received a Jaakko Honko medal in April 4th, 2017, for his merits in economics research. The medal is given for individuals who have significantly contributed business life or economic research.

The other medalists of 2017 were: Matti Alahuhta, Elina Björklund, Seppo Ikäheimo, Pekka Ilmakunnas, Seija Ilmakunnas, Risto Murto and Björn Wahlroos. The medals are awarded every second year in a lecture named after chancellor Jaakko Honko in Helsinki, Finland. This year the lecture was held by the Governor of the Bank of Finland, Erkki Liikanen, on "Financial markets and their regulation after the crisis: Reforms and challenges for the Future".
