Studying Finance at the Oulu Business School
Finance is one of several international Master’s programmes available at the Oulu Business School. Studying at the Oulu Business School is a genuinely multicultural experience, as international degree students, exchange students from all over the world, and of course Finnish students are attending the courses of the Finance programme.
Students in the programme can also join an exchange programme with another business school. Opportunities for exchange studies abroad exist in several exchange programmes with hundreds of business schools.
Double degree opportunity with HEC Liège
Finance master’s students can apply for a double degree with the Double Crown accredited HEC Liège - School of Management to complete their master’s degrees with studies at Liège campus in Belgium.
This opportunity allows you to complete two master's degrees in two high-quality universities with distinct cultural and academic emphasis. Seats are limited, and selection is competitive.
Application happens separately during your first year of studies in Oulu. If successful, you will complete your second-year studies at HEC Liège campus.

The programme includes a module of core courses which cover fundamental theory, mathematical methods, and research methods. In addition to providing the fundamentals, the Finance programme takes on current topics and trends, such as green financing, crowdfunding, banking regulation, financial market developments and so on.
Students carry out small-scale programming exercises using Excel, R-language, and Python.
