Ignacio (Nacho) Montero visits the LET 7th - 10th of May. He is Associate Professor of Research Methods in Psychology and Education at the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid, Spain.
Montero has studied motivation in education from a socio-cultural perspective extended the mediational role of private speech to emotional processes. He is co-author of one of the most cited handbooks on Research Methods written in Spanish and has recently co-edited the book Private Speech, Executive Functioning, and the Development of Verbal Self-Regulation. Also, he engages in considerable editorial activities for Spanish-language journals in psychology and education (Anuario de Psicología, Cultura y Educación, Estudios de Psicología, Infancia y Aprendizaje, International Journal of Clinical and Health Psychology, Revista de Psicología).
