Project description
The ELLA project aims to create and disseminate a sustainable, adaptive and inclusive solution to enhance school students’ digital and lifelong learning skills. By bringing universities, schools, and Edtech company together, ELLA will develop an open and generic toolkit for implementing AI-based prompting systems to support students’ self-regulated learning (SRL). ELLA also facilitates cross-sectional dialogue by inviting citizens to product development and training processes.
Project consortium:
- Oulun Yliopisto (Finland, coordinator)
- Rajakylän koulu (Finland)
- Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium)
- Invento, GO! scholengroep (Belgium)
- Titanom Solutions GmbH (Germany)
- Digitale Schule FFB e.V. (Germany)
- IES CAMP DE TURIA (Spain)
Project actions
The project activities include 1) project management, 2) developing a framework and guidelines that translate scientific knowledge of self-regulated learning (SRL) into practice, 3) creating a prototype of a generic open-access framework and source code adaptable for various stakeholders and learning contexts, 4) testing and evaluating the project results and 5) disseminating the open access materials and training the educational practitioners.
Project results
An open-access, comprehensive SRL toolbox for educational practitioners will be concrete results. Project materials, scientific papers and reports, and dissemination activities will increase public awareness of the importance of developing the SRL skills of school students. Promoted cross-sectional collaboration and professional network across partner institutions and school teachers will be a legacy of the project.
