Orientation for exchange students

Our Orientation Day programme is especially designed to help new incoming exchange students to settle in and start their
studies at the University of Oulu. Programme includes important matters such as university practices, student services and permits. Faculties will also organise separate study info sessions to their students. We strongly recommend that all incoming
exchange students participate in the Orientation.

General Orientation session

The Orientation for spring term 2024 will be organized on January 4, 2024 starting at 8.15. Please note that the Orientation is organised on Linnanmaa campus, and online participation is not possible. Orientation is mandatory for study exchange students.

Meet the other exchange students and International Mobility Services staff over a cup of coffee or tea. Coffee will be served outside lecture room L1.

DVV Pop-up

Digital and population data services agency (DVV) will organise a Pop-up service points on campus Friday 5th and Monday 8th of January from 9 am to 4 pm. The location is TH107. You can apply a Finnish identity code and register your stay. Remember to have an ID with a photo with you.

Faculty study info sessions

Faculty study info sessions are organised in conjunction with the Orientation. Participating in the faculty study info is important so that you get to know your international coordinator and get acquainted with the faculty's practicalities.
