Research
At the Oulu Business School, we conduct multidisciplinary business research that meets the needs of companies and the society in a changing world. The research carried out in our three research units is of high international quality. The research mainly addresses the university's strategic focus areas of Understanding humans in change and Digitalization and smart society.

Department of Marketing, Management and International Business
We explore the complex and challenging organisational functions and processes in a changing world. The main focus is on B2B research.
Department of Economics, Accounting and Finance
We study socially significant phenomena in the fields of economics, financial and management accounting, and finance.
Martti Ahtisaari Institute
We focus on challenges of responsible businesses, especially on changing businesses and ecosystems in the global markets. Our goal is to produce new scientifically rigorous and relevant knowledge and foster innovations.
Studying
We educate experts for the needs of modern work life in the fields of economics, accounting, finance, marketing, international business management, and business analytics. For international students, we have a bachelor's degree programme in international business management, six master’s degree programmes and a doctoral degree programme taught in English. Our executive MBA programmes are taught only in Finnish.
