Wednesday Date Events at the University of Oulu – Autumn 2025

The Wednesday Date pop-up events on the Linnanmaa campus offer a regular meeting place for students and working life representatives. Come meet employers and organizations, and hear about current job, internship, and thesis opportunities! The events are organized by the University of Oulu Innovation Centre.

Schedule

  • October 8 from 10:00–12:00: Innovation Centre
    • The University of Oulu Innovation Centre helps students take their business ideas from concept to reality. It supports, for example, idea sparring, building networks, and applying for PoC funding to enable the first implementation of an idea. The Innovation Centre also assists researchers with questions related to the commercialization of research results and intellectual property rights.
  • October 15 from 10:00–14:00: Tuokko
    • Come hear about Tuokko’s Audit Trainee -program and other opportunities for students!

  • November 12: To be announced
  • November 19 from 11:00–14:00: Volunteer Work Fair
    • Come explore the activities of volunteer organizations and learn about the opportunities of volunteering as part of your career path — while also discovering the meaningfulness and sense of community that volunteering brings! In addition to the fair, the program includes a panel discussion and activities by student organizations. The full program will be published on November 5.
  • November 26 from 10:00–14:00: Talenom

    • Learn more about Talenom's financial administration trainee programs and how you can start building your career path with Talenom during your studies. Find out more about their thesis opportunities and practical first steps into working life at Talenom.

All Wednesday Date events take place in front of the Career Centre, by the green coat racks.
