Ilkka Lähteenmäki

Philosophy of History

I am post-doctoral researcher at the Centre for Philosophical Studies of History. I received my PhD in 2019 from University of Oulu, and M.Soc.Sci from the University of Turku in 2013.

My research focuses on different forms of historical representations, which are looked at from the viewpoint of historical world-building. Currently my focus is on the non-traditional forms of history like games, movies, tv-series, wiki-articles, etc and how all these (with traditional history) seem to be transmedially linked together to form a large body of historical information.
