Education description

After completing this course, students will understand the underlying principles of wireless transceivers’ architecture, including modulation/demodulation, as well as various modulation schemes such as AM/DSB/SSB, FM/PM, QAM, and OFDM.
Moreover, they can apply these principles to analyze and design systematically an entire wireless transceiver.

Furthermore, they will understand various transmitter architectures, ranging from conventional direct conversion and two-step to more modern digital transmitters in various formats, such as quadrature and polar architectures. After completing this course, students will be able to apply, analyze, and design a digital transmitter chain systematically.

Calculate receiver specifications based on wireless communication standards.
Role of current-mode passive mixers in sub-10 GHz receivers
Design high-order filters and circulators using N-path filter concepts.
