After the long break due to the Covid pandemic, we are pleased to announce that the traditional Accounting Tutorial will be held in Oulu, from Thursday 9 June to Friday 10 June, 2022. The event brings together Ph.D. students and Professors in all areas of accounting to share their research interests and to discuss Ph.D. students’ research projects. It also provides an excellent forum for debate of emerging research ideas and developments in practice and research. Each Ph.D. student will have a nominated discussant to give feedback on her/his paper. The sessions will be in English and also in Finnish if needed.

Registration and submissions
Deadline for registering to the event and submitting the abstract is Friday 1 April 2022.

Ph.D. students who would like to present a paper must submit their abstract and registration by the deadline. Registration of those participants who do not present a paper are accepted on a first come-first served basis.
The deadline for submitting the full paper is Thursday 19 May 2022.

Venue
The Accounting Tutorial 2022 will take place at hotel Lasaretti in Oulu (Kasarmintie 13b, 90130 Oulu). The Hotel Lasaretti is located at a nice park in a walking distance from the city center of Oulu. See more information about the venue.
Program
The program begins on Thursday morning and ends on Friday afternoon. There are no attendance fees. Lunches and coffee breaks will be served in both days, and a dinner will be provided on Thursday evening.
Keynote
We are truly honored to have Professor Wayne Landsman from the University of North Carolina as our keynote speaker. His research focuses on the role of accounting information in capital price formation. Professor Landsman has published over 70 articles in leading scholarly and professional journals. He received his PhD in business, MBA and his MS in statistics from Stanford University. He graduated in economics from Princeton University.
Accommodation
You can book accommodation at hotel Lasaretti at Hansel prices. We have reserved a quota of 10 single rooms (118 €/night) and 25 twin rooms (134 €/night) for our participants. Breakfast is included.
Participants can book their rooms directly from the hotel (lasaretti@lasaretti.com or 020 757 4700). Deadline for bookings is 9 May 2022. Accommodation and reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed for tutors discussing papers.
