Campus as a Stage After Work: Anime movie 2026

This time at the Campus as a Stage After Work event, we’ll dive into the world of cinema.

The Anime movie is the fourth cosplay movie by the Oulu-based Studio Korppikela. The film follows the journey and cooperation of familiar anime characters in a foreign world, where they encounter new allies and meet old enemies. As the name suggests, the film draws its inspiration and plot from anime which is Japanese animation. The film will be shown as part of the Campus as a Stage event series and the Oulu2026 program.

The event will take place at the Linnanmaa campus in the lecture hall L2 and it does not include a ticket fee. Entrance to the campus via main door 2T.

Filming will begin in early 2026, and Studio Korppikela is still looking for more participants to join. There are opportunities to get both in front of and behind the camera! The call for creators for the anime film is open: sign up to take part!

In 2026, the University of Oulu will organize a year-long Campus as a Stage event series, the purpose of which is to showcase the broad cultural expertise of our university community and bring culture to the everyday life of our campuses and to a wider audience. The series includes culture lunches, culture lectures, After Work events, various exhibitions and community art works, and art tours of the university's art collections.
