Campus as a Stage: Culture Lectures - Folk tunes and more I
Culture lectures are intended as "lectures between lectures". The idea is to bring cultural experiences into everyday situations on campus, such as transitions between lectures and meetings. Several interest societies under the University of Oulu Student Union participate in enriching the everyday life of our campuses with both music and theater. This time the lecture is held by The Oulu University Chamber Orchestra as their players perform some of their favourite folk tunes.
The event is held at the University of Oulu's Tellus Linnanmaa lobby area.
In 2026, the University of Oulu will organize a year-long Campus as a Stage event series, the purpose of which is to showcase the broad cultural expertise of our university community and bring culture to the everyday life of our campuses and to the wider public. The series includes culture lunches, culture lectures, After Work events, various exhibitions and community art works, and art tours of the university's art collections.
