Campus as a Stage: Culture Lectures - Take Me to the Movies at Linnanmaa

Culture lectures are intended as "lectures between lectures". The idea is to bring cultural experiences into everyday situations on campus, such as transitions between lectures and meetings. Several interest societies under the University of Oulu Student Union participate in enriching the everyday life of our campuses with both music and theater. This time on a culture lecture, the Oulu University Chamber Orchestra showcases some film music numbers.

The event is held at the University of Oulu's Tellus Linnanmaa lobby area between 9.50 am -10.10 am. Welcome!

In 2026, the University of Oulu will organize a year-long Campus as a Stage event series, the purpose of which is to showcase the broad cultural expertise of our university community and bring culture to the everyday life of our campuses and to the wider public. The series includes culture lunches, culture lectures, After Work events, various exhibitions and community art works, and art tours of the university's art collections.
