Campus as a Stage: Culture Lunches - Jazz music in Kontinkangas
The idea of the Culture Lunches is to bring cultural experiences to surprising and unexpected situations, such as during rush hour at the lunch restaurant. Several interest societies under the University of Oulu Student Union participate in enriching everyday meal times on our campuses with both music and theater. At Restaurant Medisiina on the Kontinkangas campus, you can enjoy jazz as Teekkaritorvet perform from 11:30 to 12:00. Come and listen, and spend a pleasant lunch moment accompanied by music!
In 2026, the University of Oulu will organize a year-long Campus as a Stage event series, the purpose of which is to showcase the broad cultural expertise of our university community and bring culture to the everyday life of our campuses and to the wider public. The series includes culture lunches, culture lectures, After Work events, various exhibitions and community art works, and art tours of the university's art collections.
