Campus as a Stage: Culture Lunches - OUCO concert in the Saalasti hall

The idea of the Culture Lunches is to bring cultural experiences to surprising and unexpected situations, such as during rush hour at the lunch restaurant. Several interest societies under the University of Oulu Student Union participate in enriching everyday meal times on our campuses with both music and theater. This time, the Oulu University Chamber Orchestra will perform a selection of their favorite pieces in the Saalasti hall on Wednesday, 28 October, from 11:30 to 12:15. Welcome to enjoy a relaxing musical performance during your lunch break! The doors of Saalastinsali will remain open so that guests dining at Restaurant Kerttu can also enjoy the music.

In 2026, the University of Oulu will organize a year-long Campus as a Stage event series, the purpose of which is to showcase the broad cultural expertise of our university community and bring culture to the everyday life of our campuses and to a wider audience. The series includes culture lunches, culture lectures, After Work events, various exhibitions and community art works, and art tours of the university's art collections.
