Join us at the Festival of Cultures for a creative and mindful art workshop where you can design your own Buta - a traditional teardrop-shaped motif symbolizing life, growth, and eternity. Widely seen in Azerbaijani art, textiles, and decoration, the Buta carries deep cultural meaning of fire and courage and timeless beauty. Welcome!
Please note that the main language of the event is English The event is organized by volunteer students and staff members from the University of Oulu and Oulu University of Applied Sciences.

The event is open for all and free of charge. All materials will be provided for the participants. You can join the workshop freely according to your own schedule.
The University of Oulu, in collaboration with Oulu University of Applied Sciences, the Student Union of the University of Oulu, and the Student Union of Oulu University of Applied Sciences, is organizing the Festival of Cultures week to celebrate our multicultural community in Oulu and promote cultural awareness.
