Festival of Cultures 2025: Taste of Pakistan

The event " Taste of Pakistan" offers a vibrant celebration of Pakistani heritage.

The event kicks off with an Opening Ceremony and features a colorful Cultural Fashion Parade showcasing traditional attire like Sindhi Ajrak and Punjabi Ghagra Choli. Visitors can enjoy Pakistani Food samples, traditional Folk Dance performances (Bhangra/Gidha), and get simple Henna designs. The festival event also includes a Painting for kids' station to decorate mini-Pakistani flags, a Display Table of handicrafts, and a fun Hockey Dribble Challenge. Attendees can participate in a Cultural Passport challenge with a small prize for collecting four stamps and taking memorable pictures at the Photo Booth with a "Jingle Truck" art background.

Please note that the main language of the event is English The event is organized by volunteer students and staff members from the University of Oulu and Oulu University of Applied Sciences.

The University of Oulu, in collaboration with Oulu University of Applied Sciences, the Student Union of the University of Oulu, and the Student Union of Oulu University of Applied Sciences, is organizing the Festival of Cultures week to celebrate our multicultural community in Oulu and promote cultural awareness. The events of the week are open to everyone interested. We expect all participants to demonstrate respectful behavior and consideration for others.
