Welcome to our Tatreez workshop! Join us to learn about this traditional Palestinian embroidery technique, while enjoying coffee and Palestinian sweet and savory snacks.

We will provide all the supplies you need to try tatreez for yourself. If you wish, you can also bring your own shirt, hoodie or hat and create a lasting item with a piece of Palestine on it.

You are also welcome to try on some traditional clothing and take photos with your friends in front of our photo wall, which is decorated to celebrate Palestine.

Please note that the main language of the event is English The event is organized by volunteer students and staff members from the University of Oulu and Oulu University of Applied Sciences.

The event is open for all and you can join it at any point your schedule allows.

The University of Oulu, in collaboration with Oulu University of Applied Sciences, the Student Union of the University of Oulu, and the Student Union of Oulu University of Applied Sciences, is organizing the Festival of Cultures week to celebrate our multicultural community in Oulu and promote cultural awareness. The events of the week are open to everyone interested. We expect all participants to demonstrate respectful behavior and consideration for others. Any kind of discriminatory behavior is not tolerated at our events.
