Event information
Time
Thu 10.12.2026 12:00 - 15:00
Venue location
LeaF (KTK103), Linnanmaa Campus and Zoom
Location
Welcome to HI Data Forum @ LeaF – New Research Initiatives: Interpreting human signals through multimodal data and AI for learning and healthcare on 10th of Decemeber, 2026, from 12:00 to 15:00 at LeaF, University of Oulu, and online in Zoom.
What to expect?
Combining methodological advances with practical applications, the event highlights how diverse data sources—including speech, text, physiological signals, behavioural observations, and interaction data—can be integrated to support more intelligent and responsive systems.
Participants will gain insights into emerging approaches for studying complex human processes across learning and healthcare contexts, as well as the opportunities and challenges of developing human-centred AI solutions.
Featured projects investigate the real-time detection of self-regulated learning events in healthcare simulations, the use of large language models to identify motivational learning behaviours, physiological sensing, emotionally intelligent digital solutions for pediatric perioperative care, and multimodal approaches to understanding cognitive-affective processes in learning.
Participation and registration
The hybrid event is free and open to all!
The zoom link will be send to registered participants closer to the event.
