The University of Oulu is hosting the ICWORLD 2027 – International Conference on Imaging and Characterisation for a Sustainable World – in Oulu from January 13th to 15 th, 2027. The conference will focus on novel imaging and characterisation methods, and an International call for oral and poster presentations will open late March 2026.

The ICWORLD 2027 conference will focus on novel imaging and characterisation methods, and it is intended for all experts and scientists developing and using technologies from several different disciplines to get a broad view and new ideas via multidisciplinary collaboration.
The conference topics cover e.g. recent development in imaging and characterization and following conference themes:

  • Good Health and Wellbeing
  • Affordable and Clean Energy
  • Sustainable Industries and Production
  • Clean Water, Biodiversity and Environment

Conference is organized by the University of Oulu and I4WORLD programme.

Imaging and Characterisation for a Sustainable World I4WORLD (2022-2027) is a doctoral programme at the University of Oulu co-funded by the European Union’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action COFUND.
