The Oivalluksia – Ideas exhibition features metal graphic prints intended to offer viewers joy and moments of insight. For the artist, the works are narrative in nature, and several prints together may form a complete story. The images can be approached from many different perspectives, with each interpretation shaped by the viewer’s own experiences and worldview.
In her work, Jylhä uses colour and combines different printmaking techniques to create changing atmospheres around the same subject. The themes of her works may arise from observations, events, or images generated by the subconscious mind. Variations of light and shadow, as well as artistic movements such as Impressionism and Cubism, have also influenced her artistic expression.
