Location
Kummacon has a variety of programs that celebrate literature, cosplay, Western and Eastern comics, science fiction and games of all kinds. The theme of 2026 is Dark Academia, and the guest of honor for 2026 is Finlandia-prize winner, writer Johanna Sinisalo. From the year 2023, Kummacon has been Finland's first queer literature festival.
Kummacon will feature lectures, presentations, panels, a dazzling Cosplay competition, and a Kumma Seminar open to everyone. The event also includes board games, retro games, vendors, an art alley, Kumma Second Hand, Kumma Café and much more!
The event has a free entry and the full program can be found from Kummacon’s official event page. The event is produced by Studio Korppikela ry, an informal film crew primarily made up of students, specializing in independent film production.
