May the Darkness Be with You

May the Darkness Be with You is an annual innovation event designed to bring together students and alumni to explore creative ideas and technical solutions that help people thrive during the long, dark winter months in Oulu. The event aims to transform the challenges of winter darkness into opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and enhanced well-being, while fostering a community of resilient and imaginative thinkers. Students will have opportunity to introduce their innovative ideas to the general public thus informing and inspiring others.

The event where the ideas and solutions are presented is open for all audience. More detailed information will be updated closer to the event date. The event will be held in English.

This year, the event is part of the University of Oulu's 2026 culture programme.
