New professors’ inaugural lectures at the Faculty of Medicine

Location
The lectures will take place at the Kontinkangas campus on Friday 20 February starting from 1 pm. Three professors will present their research. The venue will be the Leena Palotie auditorium. The lectures will be in Finnish.
The event will feature presentations by the following professors:
*Professor Reetta Hinttala: Lastenneurologiset harvinaissairaudet – potilaasta perusbiologiaan (Rare pediatric neurological disorders – from patient to basic biology)
*Professor Mikael von und zu Fraunberg: Ihmisen ja teknologian rajalla: selkäydinstimulaatio kroonisen hermokivun hoidossa (At the interface of humans and technology: spinal cord stimulation in the treatment of chronic neuropathic pain)
*Professor Mika Martikainen: Mitokondriotaudit: ikkuna solujen energiatalouteen ja sen häiriöihin (Mitochondrial diseases: a window into cellular energy metabolism and its disorders)
