Oulu Sinfonia’s Chamber Concert: the Garden’s Spirit

The program is organized in collaboration with the University of Oulu Botanical Garden and Liminka Bay Visitor Center. The program is shaped around these very inspiring and evocative venues, rich with so much beauty.

Much of the selected music has its roots in the representation of nature seen from the eyes of indigenous peoples, incorporating elements of traditional music as well as aspects of cultural identity and questions about the present and future of our environment, in relation to human impact. Participants will be able to encounter the Garden’s Spirit which will manifest itself in various forms, and will offer nourishment for thought and shared emotions.
