Teekkaritorvet and the Academic Procession of the Professors
In honour of the Opening Ceremony of the Academic Year 2025–2026, Teekkaritorvet will entertain the university community in the central lobby on Wednesday 10 September from 2.55 to 3.15 p.m. Come and listen to the orchestra and at the same time follow the Academic Procession of the Professors of the University of Oulu as they walk across the Linnanmaa campus along Väylä to the Opening Ceremony held in Saalastinsali.

Teekkaritorvet will be performing by the green coat racks in the central lobby, where it is also easy to watch the procession. The Opening Ceremony of the Academic Year and its Professors’ Procession are among the academic traditions of the University of Oulu.
