The audience will be taken on a data‑driven “world tour,” highlighting key global trends, with closer attention to developments in China, Russia, and the United States, followed by an overview of Europe and EU candidate countries.
The lecture then focuses on evidence‑based policymaking, fake news, and disinformation and misinformation — issues of particular relevance today. It concludes by reflecting on the European Union’s and Finland’s dependencies in a rapidly changing global environment, and on emerging security policy challenges related to technology, including associated risks.
The event is moderated by Marja Matinmikko-Blue, Research Director in Infotech and Director of Sustainability and regulation in 6G Flagship.
