As an offer holder and a new student, you will have access to webinars offering in-depth insights into important areas like housing, support services, and more. You will hear valuable tips and experiences from current students, helping you prepare for a smooth transition into life in Oulu. You will also have the opportunity to chat with our students and faculty representatives.
In spring 2026, our student ambassadors will also produce new videos introducing different services, our campuses, and student life in Oulu. Videos will be published on this page, and they will also be sent to you in our newsletters.
Throughout the spring and summer, the University of Oulu will be sending you newsletters packed with useful and important information to help you prepare for your life in Oulu and your studies with us. From practical tips on moving and settling in to insights about student life and the university community, these updates are designed to support you every step of the way. Keep an eye on your inbox – we’re here to help you get ready for an exciting new chapter! The newsletters will be sent to you to the email address you used when applying through the Studyinfo portal.

Join our weekly open Q&A sessions for new admitted students, held every Wednesday on Zoom until 1 July. These informal sessions are a great opportunity to ask anything that's on your mind, whether it is about courses, campus life, or what it's really like to live and study in Oulu.
Each week our Student Ambassadors will be there to share their first-hand experiences and insights. On selected dates, representatives from our Admissions team and Faculty Study Services will also join to provide more detailed guidance. Please refer to the schedule below for specific dates, times, and attendees.
There is no set agenda, and attendance is completely optional. Drop in, ask your questions, and take away the information you need.
Eager to join the UniOulu community? We use the Goin' app to help you connect with your future classmates and current students. This platform makes it easy to interact, share experiences, and get advice from those who know university life best.
