Ask and talk about your cultural adaptation process - Support is available

Have you just moved to Finland and started your studies at the University of Oulu? Would you like to understand better what happens in the process of cultural adaptation or get to talk about your situation?

Moving abroad to live and study is a big transition that might affect you in unexpected ways. After the exciting start, you may notice that it is everything but easy to adjust yourself to the new environment and culture. You may also feel unbalanced and confused.

We welcome you to the Cultural Adaptation Drop-in, where you can come and talk about your situation, as well as ask about and get support to your adaptation process. You may also meet other students who are going through the same thing as you.

The drop-in sessions will take place at the Tellus (Linnanmaa campus) on the following days:

  • 3 Oct at 16.00-17.00, location: Frost Club, Tellus
  • 17 Oct at 16.00-17.00, location: Frost Club, Tellus
  • 3 Nov at 13.00-14.00, location: Brisk, Tellus
  • 17 Nov at 13.00-14.00, location: Brisk, Tellus
