The collegium confirmed the board members and elected an auditor – new student members in the collegium

In its meeting on 1 December 2025, the University Collegium of the University of Oulu confirmed the members of the Board of Directors for the term starting on 1 January 2026. In addition, the University Collegium elected an auditor for the next agreement period.

Professors on the Board of Directors for 2026–2029 will be represented by Marko Huttula and Terhi Ruuska-Loewald. Other teaching and research staff, as well as other personnel, will be represented by University Lecturer Toni Liedes and Postdoctoral Researcher Pauli Väisänen. The staff elected their representatives in elections held at the end of October.

Lotta Pennala, a student of economics, and Vilma Sippola, a student of the history of science and ideas, will represent the students on the Board of Directors for 2026–2027. The Student Council of the Student Union of the University of Oulu (OYY) elected the student representatives in October.

The University Collegium appointed BDO Audiator Oy as the university's auditor for the contract period 24 August 2026–23 August 2032.

In October, OYY’s Student Council elected new student representatives to replace the members who had resigned from the University Collegium, for a term lasting until the end of 2025. Aino Uitamo has started as a student member, with Vilma Sippola as her deputy. Aku Forsman’s deputy is Usama Zafarin, Miikka Lukkaroinen’s deputy is Roshini Catherine Verghese, and Santtu Mäenpää’s deputy is Tra My Dang.
