Discover the SciFinder database in the library workshop

Come and discover SciFinder on Tuesday 20 October at 14:30–15:30! This database includes literature and patent references in fields such as chemistry, materials research and biochemistry.

CAS SciFinder Discovery Platform is a comprehensive database containing literature and patent references, as well as information on chemical compounds and reactions. Its subject areas include chemistry and its various applications, process and environmental engineering, materials research, biochemistry and medicinal chemistry.

At this workshop you will learn how to make effective use of SciFinder. Students and staff of the University of Oulu have access to the service; use requires personal registration with an oulu.fi email address. Registration link

The workshop will be presented by Veli-Pekka Hyttinen, representative of CAS.

The workshop is organised on Tuesday 20 October at 14:30–15:30 at Pegasus Library, in room PK247, or remotely via Zoom. No advance registration is required. Welcome! The same workshop is organised in Finnish on the same day at 13–14.

This workshop is intended for students and staff of the University of Oulu. In the workshops, we adhere to the Oulu University Library principles of a safer space.
