Do you need a recommendation for individual study arrangements?

Studying should not be more demanding than necessary. You may be entitled to individual study arrangements if you have a diagnosed learning difficulty, a neurodevelopmental condition, a mental health challenge, or, for example, a physical illness or disability. Specialists at the Learning Support and Wellbeing Centre can provide a recommendation for individual study arrangements tailored to your needs.

Join the following open reception event for your recommendation. Choose this option if you already know the type of individual arrangements you need, such as additional time in exams, flexible due dates for written assignments or alternative ways for demonstrating learning and knowledge.

Please be prepared to present documentation from a doctor, psychologist, or another qualified professional at the meeting. The documentation may be provided either in paper form or electronically, for example via the Kanta.fi service. During the meeting, your individual needs will be discussed to determine which study arrangements would best support your studies. You will then receive a written recommendation outlining the arrangements you require. Afterwards, you should discuss and agree on the necessary arrangements with your course teacher well in advance of the start of the course. The recommendation is valid for five years for studies completed at the University of Oulu.

If you need more time to discuss what accommodations would suit your needs or your needs relate to traineeship, book an appointment for one-to-one guidance.
