Doctoral supervision training for supervisors 2026-2027

Enrolment to doctoral supervision training for supervisors is open!

The aim of the supervisor training is to support the supervision of doctoral research and enhance supervisory competence. The training provides participants with opportunities to share experiences and practices, learn about research-based approaches to supervision, and develop their skills together with fellow supervisors. Topics include evidence-based supervision, critical stages of the doctoral journey, and ethical issues in supervision. The training is organised by the Pedagogy Research and Education team and it will be delivered in English during the academic year 2026–2027.

The training consists of two open lectures, and four small-group sessions (maximum 15 participants) that are based on peer-mentoring approach. The first group meeting will be held online, while the format and location of the remaining meetings will be agreed upon within the group.

The lectures are open to everyone interested in doctoral supervision. However, registration in advance is required to receive the Zoom link.

Please register by 13 November via the Webropol form. You may also choose to register only for the lectures. Supervisors accepted to the peer-mentoring groups will be granted a non-degree study right for the course. Participants may earn 1–2 ECTS credits from the training.
