Email List Service Maintenance and Downtime rescheduled to the end of January 2026.

The University of Oulu’s mailing list server will be migrated to a new server because the current one is technically outdated. The migration was supposed to start on January 16, but it has been rescheduled: During the migration period, Friday–Sunday, 30 January – 1 February 2026, emails will not be delivered to mailing lists. Normal service will resume on Monday, 2 February 2026.
  • Mailing list addresses will remain unchanged.
  • As part of this update, we will deactivate inactive lists. A list is considered inactive if it has not been used in the past 12 months.
  • In addition, lists whose designated owner no longer has an active University of Oulu account will not be transferred to the new server.
    • If, after the migration, messages no longer reach a list you need, it means that the list was not transferred. If you would like to become the new owner of the list, please contact ict@oulu.fi, and we will transfer the list under your ownership.
