Grants from the Kerttu Saalasti Foundation available for application in April 2026

The Kerttu Saalasti Foundation awards 2–5 grants annually from its fund. The 2026 grant application period is open from April 1 to April 30, 2026. Grants are awarded for research or theses focusing on the southern region of North Ostrobothnia. Support may also be granted to applicants originating from this area. In addition, the research is expected to be of high quality and impact.

The application must include:

  • a CV (maximum 2 pages) and a list of publications
  • a copy of the most recent degree certificate and, if applicable, proof of the right to pursue postgraduate studies
  • a research plan and a description of the stage of the research to be carried out with the applied grant

Referees are requested to submit their statements directly to the foundation by the end of the application period.

Applications with attachments must be submitted to the Kerttu Saalasti Foundation by April 30, 2026, either by mail to: Kerttu Saalasti Foundation, Pajatie 5, 85500 Nivala, Finland, or electronically to: eija.korjonen@oulu.fi

Decisions on the awarded grants will be made at the foundation board’s meeting in June 2026.
