How do I join a Moodle course?
The teacher decides how students are added to a Moodle course. The most common ways to join Moodle courses:
1. Automatically via Peppi-Moodle connection (the most common way)
When you register for a course in Peppi and your registration is accepted, you are automatically added to the Moodle course. You need to log into Moodle with your University of Oulu account.
The course will appear on "My Courses" page in Moodle. Adding to the Moodle course may take about 3 hours after your first login to Moodle. If you have used Moodle with your University of Oulu account before, you usually get access to the course right immediately.
If the course still does not appear:
- check that you have registered for the course instance in Peppi
- make sure your registration has been approved
- contact the course teacher if needed
2. Self-enrollment with an enrolment key
The teacher can give you a link to the Moodle course and a course key. Open the link, enter the course key, and join the course according to the instructions.
3. Manually added by the teacher
The teacher can also add students manually to the Moodle course.
