Kickstart business idea competition is moved to spring 2027
Traditionally, Kickstart has been organized in autumn, but this time it will happen during the spring semester.
In the traditional Kickstart business idea competition, the brightest Bachelor's/Master's degree students of the University of Oulu, Oulu University of Applied Sciences, and OSAO compete against each other to win the grand prize of up to 2500 €! The learning institutions want to encourage their students to develop new business ideas and present them at the competition. Besides the prizes, there is a wide variety of support and possibly funding available for further development!
Participate in the competition by sending a max 5-minute video pitch showing your business idea. The idea must provide a solution to a real challenge or a problem and have business potential. If your pitch makes the cut, you will move on to the semi-finals of your learning institution.
During the semi-finals, the three best teams are chosen from each learning institution for the Grand Finals, where you will pitch your idea to a live audience at Agora, and the jury of entrepreneurship experts will decide the winning teams and give their valuable feedback on the business idea.
The university semi-finals will award 1000/500/300 euros to the top 3 teams, and the prizes in the Grand Finals will be 1500/1000/500 euros.
