Library services and opening hours during the holiday season

The holiday season affects library services and opening hours 15.12.2025-6.1.2026. Library's comprehensive e-resources are at your use 24/7 via Oula-Finna and you can access them off campus with your University of Oulu or Oamk user ID also during the holidays!

Exceptions in library services

  • Check your library’s opening hours in Oula-Finna, Tuudo or the library website before visiting the library. The exceptional opening hours are also listed in this bulletin.
  • There will be no due dates for the loans between 20.12.2025 and 7.1.2026.
  • You can return your loans to the outside returns boxes in Pegasus Library and Medical Library when the libraries are closed. The returns box in the Health and Social Care Library is in use during campus opening hours.
  • Pegasus Library’s Information Service point is closed 22.12.2025-6.1.2026.

Self-service hour from 8:00 to 9:00. No phone service during the self-service hour.

*22.12.2025, 29.12.-31.12.2025 and 2.1.2026 the library is open 8-16 on a self-service basis, i.e. there is no customer service or information service in the library. Library materials can be borrowed and returned using self-service machines.

Medical Library

Self-service use of the library is possible with a University of Oulu student's 24/7 Campus Card.

Health and Social Care Library

Self-service hour on opening days from 8:00 to 9:00. No phone service during the self-service hour.

Self-service library is available for use every day 7:30-21:00 with a separate electronic access key (for Oamk/OSAO Kontinkangas students and staff).

The returns box in front of the library can be accessed during the opening hours of the Paasi building.
