OBS faculty council begins its new term

The faculty council supports the management of Oulu Business School in the leadership of its operations and finances and contributes to the school’s strategic development. The faculty board for the 2026–2029 term met at the University of Oulu in May.

At its first meeting of the new term, the council discussed a range of current topics, including the school’s internationalisation, budget, and strategy. New docentships were appointed for Timo Pohjosenperä, Fatima Khitous, Fan Wang, Noora Jansson, and Tamara Galkina.

The faculty board comprises representatives from the business community, members of staff from Oulu Business School, and student representatives. The term of office is four years, while student members serve a two-year term.

The external members of the board are Head of M&A Marko Heikkinen (Wioniq Group), Chief Executive Officer Leena Vuotovesi (Oulun Liikekeskus), and Chief Financial Officer Paula Tättilä (Ruskon Betoni Oy). Oulu Business School is represented on the board by Dean Janne Järvinen, Professor Elias Oikarinen, University Teacher Juha Huikari, and student member Taika Nurkkala.
