Oulu Business School's AACSB accreditation extended

With less than 6 percent of business schools globally holding the AACSB accreditation, Oulu Business School's extended accreditation highlights its dedication to high standards of teaching, research, and learner success. The accreditation is valid for the next five years.

The announcement, made by AACSB International on Thursday, February 8th, 2024, is an important moment for the business school and its stakeholders. "The extension of our AACSB accreditation reflects our strong dedication to long-term development of our operations and quality of education," says Janne Järvinen, Dean of Oulu Business School. "Further, it shows we're committed to keeping our education standards high, like those recognized around the world."

Accreditation is a rigorous process that culminates in a visit from an experienced external evaluation team. The evaluation team consists of deans from other business schools around the world. In November of last year, a three-member evaluation team arrived in Oulu, meeting with the faculty and staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders of the business school in group discussions focusing on the school's strategic management, research, and education.

The AACSB Accreditation represents a collective effort toward continuous improvement. For students, it is a promise of internationally competitive high-quality business education. Oulu Business School extends its heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders for their invaluable support in this journey.

In accordance with our mission, we continue educating innovative and responsible future leaders and business experts with a global mindset.

Oulu Business School earned the AACSB accreditation in 2014 as the fourth Nordic business school, and is the world’s northernmost AACSB accredited business school.
