Volunteer program's highlights

• Kick-off

  • Your volunteer experience will start with an info session where you’ll learn all about Polar Bear Pitching, the event schedule, and your role, followed by a watch party to bond and get excited with your fellow volunteers.

• Preparation

  • We will run task division workshops to assign the responsibilities based on your skills and interests. Additionally, you’ll take part in a venue run-through to familiarize yourself with the event layout and logistics.

• Volunteering at the Event

  • Whether you’re assisting with registration, helping with the venue set-up or providing support to attendees, you’ll have the chance to put your skills into action and learn at Polar Bear Pitching!

• After the Event

  • Join us for a special thank you party dedicated to celebrating your hard work and dedication!

Selection Process

Volunteer Criteria:

• Active participation in the Oulu startup ecosystem events and activities.
• Previous event organizing or volunteering experience.
• Initiative and independence.
• Resilience and reliability.
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills.

Timeline:

• Applications will open on 28.9.2026. Please submit your application by 6.11.2026.
• We will get in touch for a 15 min interview starting from 23.11.2026.
• Info session for the selected volunteers will be announced later.
