Restriction on Microsoft Authenticator
Microsoft Authenticator is a free mobile application that we use for MFA login. There will now be a restriction on its use.
From the beginning of February 2026, Microsoft Authenticator will block the use of mobile devices where
- the manufacturer's software restrictions have been bypassed (so-called jailbreaking on iOS devices) or
- system files have been modified (so-called rooting on Android devices).
Both processes can provide increased flexibility and customization to the mobile device, but they also come with significant risks, including security vulnerabilities and the ability to install unchecked software.
