Introducing Mindfulness Group

Pause. Breathe. Learn skills for student life.

Student life can be exciting and meaningful – but also demanding, stressful and full of uncertainty. Many students struggle with concentration, sleep, pressure, loneliness, or feeling overwhelmed. Mindfulness offers simple, practical skills to help you meet these challenges with more clarity, balance, and kindness.

This short three-week English-speaking online group gives you a gentle introduction to mindfulness and how it can support your wellbeing in everyday student life.

Compassion workshops for doctoral students in April and May, in English and Finnish -sign up now

How could we bring more compassion into our hectic daily lives and achievement-oriented culture? How can we be present to each other in a genuine, caring, and supportive way, and cultivate this in our academic community? How can we be kinder to ourselves?

Welcome to explore these questions and cultivate compassion skills in compassion-themed online workshops for doctoral students, organized by the students’ mental health association Nyyti ry.

In the workshops, we’ll explore and practice different aspects of compassion, such as compassionate interaction, being present, understanding others' perspectives, and self-compassion. The workshops are facilitated by trained peer mentors. You can choose from two workshops, one in English and one in Finnish. The workshops are organized online.

The dates are

  • 22 April at 12.00-15.00 (in English)
  • 20 May at 10.00-14.00 (in Finnish)
