The University of Oulu offers 'movies with researchers' in autumn 2025
In the University of Oulu movie nights, the theme of the film will be discussed with researchers. The films will be shown at the Star cinema in Tuira, Oulu, and they are free of charge for participants. Welcome to the movie!
Two of the films include discussion in English:
- Monday 13.10.2025 at 5.30 p.m. After Us the Flood (Jälkeemme vedenpaisumus)
- Thursday 27.11.2025 at 5.30 p.m. The Forest Archipelago (Metsien saaristo; discussion in Finnish and English)

The place of the events is Star Cinema, Kalliotie 6, 90500 Oulu (Tuira).
Free tickets for the screenings can be reserved on the Star Cinema website three weeks before the screening. Reservations require logging in/registration to the cinema's ticket reservation system (registration and privacy policy). The film evenings are offered by the University of Oulu.
Reserved tickets must be redeemed 15 minutes before the screening starts.
